A TV that blends in when it is off
In a well-designed room, the black screen on the wall is often what spoils the decor. It stays off most of the stay and draws attention for the wrong reasons.
Samsung presents The Frame Hospitality as the hotel version of its art TV: when it is not in use, the screen shows an artwork or a visual chosen by the hotel instead of a black rectangle. At 27.5 mm deep without stand, with a QLED 4K panel, it sits on the wall like a picture frame.
Retail The Frame or The Frame Hospitality?
Many hoteliers have already tried the consumer Frame. Guests like it, but it was not designed for a hotel: settings remain open to everyone and each TV must be set up by hand.
According to its datasheet, the Hospitality version adds the features of a hotel TV:
- Hotel management: Samsung LYNK Cloud compatible, hotel channel list, power-on mode and security mode.
- Fast installation: Hospitality Plug & Play and USB cloning of settings.
- Sharing from the phone: Screen Mirroring and Sound Mirroring.

Standard TV, mirror TV or The Frame: what to choose for your rooms?
To make the screen disappear, upscale hotels have long chosen mirror TVs. Here is how the three options compare.
| Criterion | Standard hospitality TV | Mirror TV | The Frame Hospitality |
|---|---|---|---|
| Screen off | A black rectangle | A mirror | An artwork or visual chosen by the hotel (according to Samsung) |
| Picture quality | Depends on the model | Dimmed by the semi-reflective glass | QLED 4K, HDR10+ |
| Depth | Depends on the model | Thick glass, often custom-made | 27.5 mm without stand |
| Budget | Most affordable | High | Premium |
Our advice: in rooms and suites, The Frame Hospitality offers a good balance between discretion and picture quality. For standard rooms, a standard hospitality TV with MXTV Hotel remains the most cost-effective choice.
Which properties is it for?
The Frame Hospitality is aimed first at 4- and 5-star hotels, boutique hotels, palaces and suites, where design is part of the experience. It also fits upscale serviced residences and common areas: lobby, bar, lounge or meeting rooms.
You can also reserve it for certain room categories, such as suites or superior rooms, and keep standard hospitality TVs elsewhere. MXTV Hotel manages everything from the same back office.
